Searching makes it easy to find specific tracks using names or hashtags. Whether you're looking for a song or all tracks tagged with #audio or #music, the search feature delivers instant results.
The Dolby On app offers two levels of search:
- Basic search - find tracks by file name or hashtag. No setup required. Available on Dolby On iOS app v1.16 or newer, Dolby On Android app v1.10.1 or newer.
- Intelligent Search - find tracks by their spoken/transcribed words, on-screen video content, or sentiment. Requires Intelligent Search to be enabled. Available on Dolby On iOS app v2.0 or newer. See the Intelligent search FAQ for details.
Here’s how to search:
- Open the Dolby On app.
- Go to the Library.
- You will see a Search bar at the top of the screen.
- Tap the search bar and enter a file name or hashtag.
- Search activates once you enter at least 3 characters.
Search by File Name:
When you search using a keyword without the "#" symbol (for example, audio):
- Tracks with filenames that contains the keyword will appear in the results.
- Tracks tagged with a matching hashtags (for example, #audio) will also appear in the results.
Example:
- Track 1 is tagged with #audio
- Track 2 is tagged with #audio
- The third track has Audio in its filename
Search by Hashtag
When you search using a hashtag (for example, #audio):
- Only tracks that have been tagged with the exact hashtag #audio will appear in the search results.
- Tracks whose filenames contain the word audio but do not have the #audio tag will not be displayed.
Example:
- Track 1 tagged with #audio
- Track 2 tagged with #audio
- The third track contains Audio in its filename but does not have the #audio tag
Steps to export tracks after search:
- After searching for a track name or hashtag, tap the Tick icon at the top-left corner to enter the Selection screen. Refer to the attachment.
- Select the desired tracks.
- Use the Bulk Export option to export the selected files. Refer to the attachment.
